OPERATING SYSTEM, PLEASE EMAIL ME. IF I GET ENOUGH REQUESTS, I WILL
BEGIN POSTING 64-BIT VERSIONS (X64) OF THE COMBAT FLIGHT SIMULATOR
DOWNLOADS FOUND ON
THIS PAGE.
The BIGGEST difference that you will find between this Web
site and others that offer downloads for the various flight simulations is
that whenever possible I have attempted to create an
"installation" program for the downloads...No more having to
create folders, and then copying and/or moving files. The installation
program does all of this for you AUTOMATICALLY. So, where possible, all
you have to do is to simply double-click on the installation program and
enjoy! I strongly encourage you to visit the Installation
page to see how this program works before downloading any of the wonderful
add-ons from this site.

Jungle
Islands I Scenery Add-On - Part I Of III (2.84MB).
This scenery is an add-on for the Combat Islands group of scenery. This
download includes specialized files for active waves of B-17G bombers
and search light beams (like in the old war movies). This scenery
includes not only high density full land able 3D terrain, but it's also
using around a hundred of Martin Wright's active CFS objects! I have
tested the scenery on a PII 450 256Mb RAM and a PII 450 128 MB RAM both
equipped with Elsa Erazor II 16MB 3D video cards. It's working perfectly
and shows nice frame rates around 30. Because I know that some of you
try to run such stuff on other machines I made .bgl files, where the
lots of active planes are excluded. If you are getting problems after
installing the actaipl.bgl you have two possibilities: delete the file
or set the density of the scenery (in video settings) to
"dense" or normal. This switches the active objects off. The
beams.bgl contains nine search light beams (like in the old war movies)
that will be shown at night. Impressive, don't you think? Someone
reported that he got an error after enclosing this beams into his
scenery. They work fine here. But if you get an unexpected error while
flying over the scenery or you don't like beams, delete the file! The
beams are set to "dense" they will not be shown if you set the
density to "normal". I have noticed that you aces want
carrier-landing: Ok - I have set two of Dan Geis's Nimitz Class Ships,
so every team may start on his "own" carrier (and the rookies
from the ground base. Those of you that know how to land those funny
things with rotors on top (helicopters) should know that there's a
platform on the destroyer, too! By: Ralf-J.

scenery is dedicated to the H Squad, a group of people who came together

is a helicopter squadron formed by Combat FS enthusiasts, and currently
the only helicopter squadron on the Zone. It is loaded with helicopter

Eastern Front Scenery
Add-On - Part I (1.39MB). This scenery is the
result of the first cooperation between Steve McClelland, Ralf-J.
Triebel and last, but not least, the master of moving objects Martin
"Wizard" Wright. We intended to expand the "death
zone" of CFS1 beyond the border of the MS "Theatre Europe
Scenery" and to add a different kind of atmosphere to CFS1
sceneries. So we started to design 6 airfields and a battlefield,
located in the west area of Poland. For this kind of
"winter-scenery" we had to create new textures and objects.
Martin "Wizard" Wright (again) found out that you can use the
repainted original MS-textures if you place them in a separate folder,
'cause the program is searching for textures in this folders ALWAYS
first. Please have in mind, that this scenery (even if we tried to stay
close to the original CFS1 buildings and objects) is fictional and
doesn't represent something like an authenticable view to history. We
didn't care if Malsow had an airfield during the WWII. By: Ralf-J.

Add-On - Part II (1.10MB). The Eastern Front II
scenery covers an area of nearly 22,500KM of Czechoslovakia and was done

Eastern Front
Scenery Add-On - Part III (770KB). Discover the
locations where the Germans are producing and testing their "Geheimwaffe"
and support the Partisan movement in the mountains by reinforcements.
The Eastern Front III "Geheimwaffe" covers an area in the
North/West of the Eastern Front II add-on. This time I have used some of
the new FS2000 bitmaps (Thanks to Martin "Wizard" Wright again
for the TBSWAP.exe and his great graphic tools and support). I have also
used transparent r8's to design the base of the partisan movement
following Martins experiments on Eastern Front II. Even if the airbases
have names of existing cities in southern Poland, the scenery is
fictional! By: Ralf-J. Triebel.

The Eastern Front IV "The Dam" covers an area in the North

with your bombers if you start at one of the airfields there. If you use

part of the Eastern Front closes the area between Eastern Front I and
III. It's the area from N51.12 E15.00 up to N51.45 E16.00. It's elevated
mesh terrain using winter bitmaps from FS2000. The scenery contains an

Refuel Zones For
All Stock Runways (236KB). This
add-on gives to all CFS1 bases a "built-in" refuel zone. Contrary to
"usual" refuel area, these zones are "height sensitive" and just flying
over will not do. You have to roll and stop in them until your tanks are
filled (this will take several seconds). They are marked by
semi-transparent bitmaps as if they had been painted on the runways and
rockets and bombs craters can be seen through them to assess "damages".
They are not oriented due North, like the "old" refuel area, but along
their runway's heading and all painted surface is "refuel activated".

Searchlights
(388KB).
Hitler
once described Europe as an impregnable fortress. The Germans built
anti-aircraft defences all along the more vulnerable Western European
borders. Part of the anti aircraft defences were chains of searchlights.
This project installs moving searchlights all along the coastal areas of
France, southern England and western Europe. You need to set your flight
time for "dusk" or "dawn", and "dusk" is
actually preferred. By: Arno

Tarawa Scenery Add-On
(2.19MB). One of the sixteen atoll which form the Gilbert Group,
Tarawa is a triangular atoll lying just 80 miles north of the equator. Two of the sides of the triangle, one twelve, the other eighteen miles long, are formed from strings of low lying islands, none higher than 10 feet above sea level. The third side is open to the sea although a barrier reef leaves only one entrance channel into the lagoon. The total length of the island is approximately 70
kilometers. The battle for Tarawa was a pivotal event in the Pacific Theater at the end of 1943. The Gilbert Islands were the south easternmost outposts of the Japanese Empire, and Betio Island on the South West corner of Tarawa Atoll had been transformed into the most heavily fortified base, yard-for-yard, of any in the Pacific.

Hawkinge
Radar Station Scenery Enhancement (66.2KB). The
English used radar all up and down their coasts for early warning
against "Luftwaffe" air raids. The pictures of radar sites I
have seen, had six towers, three for sending and three for receiving.
There was usually a large amount of AA guns around radar installations
because they were prime targets for the "Luftwaffe". This
being close to the coast it is perfect for my style of bombing, low and
fast from the sea then "run like h$ll". If you take off from
Calais, France at heading 315' Northwest, you can fly a bomb run across
the channel, try to stay below 50 feet flat out. By: Marvin

Gravesend
Scenery Enhancements (31.5KB). During the Battle of Britain Fighters
were moved around from their Home Bases to several Satellite Fields set
up around the sector. These were usually plain Grass Runways with very
little in the way of accommodation. Just Fuel, Ammo and basic repair
facilities. What makes this scenery different is the fact that it adds a
Radar (or RDF) station that was located at Gravesend to cover the
approaches to London up the Thames Estuary. NOTE: Settings in CFS must

Coastal Convoy Scenery Enhancements (33KB). During the early stages
of the Battle of Britain the British Government insisted on moving
supplies from one part of the country to another by the use of convoys
of ships moving around the coastline. All this material could have been
(and later was) moved internally by Rail. This scenery depicts one such
convoy moving down from the Thames Estuary heading for the White Cliffs
of Dover and the turning point into the Channel. Several merchantmen
(some towing Barrage Balloons to hinder the Stukas) along with a small
Destroyer Escort. Moves for one hour to reach the Channel entrance then
starts again. Take off from Hawkinge and you will see the Barrage
Balloons to the East. NOTE: Settings in CFS1 must be at "Very

Guernsey Scenery Add-On
(54.6KB). After getting tired of the old Berne/Interlaken bomb runs,
although they are good runs, I have decided to create 3 new bases for
inclusion into these bomber runs! Warmwell, LeHarve and Guernsey. You
launch this run from exact an position of (N49*29.14 by W2*31.00).
Attackers fly East 20-22 minutes to LeHarve (ndb=656), then take off
from LeHarve and try to intercept bomber/bombers over Guernsey (ndb=562)
before they turn back home. Bombers and escorts will fly NNW to Warmwell
(ndb=634), about a 17-20 min flight, take off from Warmwell, flying to
Guernsey then heading home. There is flak at Guernsey that is intended
for those round trip runs, I set the bursts to be from around 3500ft to
10000ft. Settings must be set to a minimum of DENSE. Good hunting! By:

SCENERY
OBJECTS:
Russian
Tanks Exploding Scenery Add-On (183KB). Now use
"exploding" Russian tanks in your campaigns and missions.
Includes a "test" mission! NOTE: No

Elwood
New Library Of
Exploding Objects (106KB). This file contains a new library (erkshiplib.bgl)
which has 8 new ship objects that can be placed in CFS and are exploding
objects. I have used the macro files from Dan Geis (with his permission)
and have created the following objects:
erkaegis - Guided Missile Cruiser
erkbshp1 - Gray Battleship
erkdestr - Destroyer
erkTafs1 - Combat Stores ship
erkCarr1 - Aircraft Carrier (Modern)
erksub3W - Submarine (with wake)
erksxcls - Essex Class aircraft carrier
erksub - Submarine
To use the objects in any mission you must use the name
as shown above. I have included a damage profile for each object. This
is a simple profile and for those interested the profile can be made to
be much more complicated. If anyone has a particular object they want in
CFS1, let me know and I will try to help. If you have the macro
available it makes life much easier...By: Ernie
