leaders for more than three and a half decades. Its list of passengers
includes every U.S. president since John F. Kennedy, virtually every
senior U.S. representative in the latter third of the 20 century, as well
as kings and queens, and heads of state from nations all over the world.
It has witnessed some of America's greatest tragedies, but has also
witnessed some of its greatest triumphs. SAM 26000, as it is commonly
known (SAM stands for Special Air Missions), flew
President John F. Kennedy on his visit to Dallas, Texas, on the fateful
day of November 22nd, 1963. This aircraft is now on permanent display at
the United States Air Force Museum located at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Concorde SST (9.14MB).The Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde supersonic transport (SST) was the more successful of only two supersonic passenger airliners to have operated commercially (the Tupolev Tu-144 being the other). First flown in 1969, Concorde service commenced in 1976 and continued for 27 years. It regularly flew from London Heathrow (British Airways) and Paris Charles de Gaulle (Air France) to New York JFK and Washington Dulles. It
set the world record for circumnavigating the world in a time of 31 hours 27 minutes 49 seconds.

CFS2 Douglas AB-DC-4
"Delta Air Lines" (4.71MB).The original DC-4 was built in 1938 as a requirement for both United and
American Airlines. It began test flying in 1938, but when the U.S. entered
into World War II, the production line was commandeered by the military
authorities and thus the first 24 C-54's were produced.. The DC-4 entered
service with Delta Air Lines on February 12, 1946, serving until February
6, 1953, when they were replaced by the pressurized DC-6. Dedicated to my

CFS2 Douglas AB-DC-7
"Delta Air Lines" (6.71MB).Designed as a stretched, longer ranger version of the DC-6, the Douglas
DC-7 offered nonstop transcontinental U.S. range in both directions. The
DC-7B could fly nonstop from New York to London, but weather conditions
often forced reverse services to make a refueling stop. Representation of
the type flew by Delta Air Lines in the mid 1950's. Dedicated to my

CFS2 Lockheed AB-L-1011
Tri-Star (9.48MB).The Lockheed TriStar was the second wide body airliner to be launched, and
although it was dogged with early financial and development problems,
particularly with the engine, it went on to gain an excellent reputation
in service for its reliability, economy of operation and low noise
emissions. The L-1011 Tri-Star was the last Lockheed airliner to be
developed and was launched in March 1968 in response to an American
Airlines requirement for a large capacity medium range airliner. Dedicated

McDonnell Douglas AB-MD-88 "Delta Air Lines" (9.55MB).The Boeing MD-80 series is a quiet, fuel-efficient twinjet, and was
certified by the Federal Aviation Administration in August 1980. The MD-80
series entered airline service in October 1980. Delta Airlines became the
launch customer for the MD-88, when an order for 80 aircraft was announced

AB-F-86D "Dog" Sabre (4.40MB).The F-86D, known as the "Dog Sabre", was an all-weather interceptor. Heavier and more complex than previous jet aircraft designs, it had an extremely advanced radar developed by the Hughes company with the scanner contained within a large radome above the air inlet. In its belly, in place of guns, there was a retractable pack of 24 Mighty Mouse rockets which could be fired against a moving target in a few seconds.

CFS2 North American
F86E and AB-F-86F Sabre (4.69MB)."E" MODEL: The F-86E took its place in history with amazing
successes against the more agile MiG-15's during the Korean War. The E and
F models flew most of the classic dogfights in that conflict, with their
six nose-mounted machine guns proving deadly when in close. "F"
MODEL:
The major production version of the Sabre was the F-86F. The F-86F Sabre
was basically a more "powerful" version of the F-86E. The
introduction of the F into combat in Korea went a long way to closing the
high-altitude performance gap between the Sabre and the MiG-15. No longer
could the MiG's zoom and climb through Sabre formations with impunity, and
the Sabre pilots could now close on the MiG's at any altitude, even during

CFS2 Grumman AB-F-9F2 Panther
(5.64MB).The F9F-2 Panther, a mainstay of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine forces in
Korea, were the first carrier jets to fly in combat. They shot down two
Yakovlev Yak-9's on their first mission in July, 1950. In November, 1950,
Lt. Cdr. W.T. Amen, C.O. of VF-111, was the first carrier pilot to shoot

CFS2 Mikoyan AB-MiG-15 Fagot

the "aircraft-soldier" by Russian pilots, the aircraft was
exceptionally strong and dependable. The MiG-15 is still respected for its
speed, maneuverability and firepower; advantages that made it a worthy
adversary of the North American F-86 during the Korean War. The design
utilized captured German technology when developing the layout of the
MiG-15. The plane's 35 degree swept wing, fuselage mounted engine and
clean lines gave the aircraft exceptional performance. Features working
air brakes deployed by the spoiler key (the "/" key or the "D" key

Stratojet (9.03MB).The B-47 Stratojet was the first jet-powered strategic bomber to serve
with USAF. The prototype first flew in 1947 with the E version being the
first major upgrade. Each SAC Bomb Wing in the 1950's had 45 combat-ready

CFS2 Boeing AB-B-52H
Stratofortress (16.9MB).Air Combat Command's B-52 is a long-range, heavy bomber that can perform a
variety of missions. The bomber is capable of flying at high subsonic
speeds at altitudes up to 50,000 feet (15,166.6 meters). It can carry
nuclear or precision guided conventional ordnance with worldwide precision
navigation capability.. No bomber in U.S. military history has been called
upon to remain operational for the length of time expected of the B-52.
Only the H model is still in the Air Force inventory. Features new
panel, sound files, and working bomb bay door activated with the
"L" key. This aircraft is dedicated to my brother,
AB_Col_Fubar, who served in the U.S. Air Force and who worked on the

CFS2 Cessna AB-A-37 Dragonfly

The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly, or "Super Tweet", is a light attack aircraft
developed from the T-37 Tweet basic trainer in the 1960's and 1970's.
The A-37 served with distinction during the Vietnam War. The growing
American military involvement in Vietnam in the early 1960's led to
strong interest in counter-insurgency (COIN) aircraft. The Air Force
wanted an aircraft that could carry a large payload, and would have

CFS2 Convair AB-B-58A Hustler
(9.64MB).The delta-wing Hustler was the first operational supersonic bomber.
Distinctive B-58 features included a sophisticated inertial guidance,
navigation and bombing system, slender "wasp-waist" fuselage,
and extensive use of heat- resistant honeycomb sandwich skin panels in the
wings and fuselage. The thin fuselage prevented internal carriage of bombs
so an external droppable two-compartment pod beneath the fuselage
contained extra fuel and a nuclear weapon, reconnaissance equipment, or

CFS2 Douglas AB-AC-47D
"Spooky" (5.40MB).The AC-47 variant of the Douglas C-47/DC-3 was developed in the early
stages of the Vietnam War. Equipped with three 7.62mm mini guns firing
from the port side, "Spooky" as she was called could deliver up

Skyraider (7.55MB).The Skyraider is the largest single engine aircraft designed during World
War II for carrier based dive bombing, night flying and ground attack and,
despite its huge bulk it is a surprisingly docile aircraft. Nick-named the
"Able Dog" by the pilots who flew her, this aircraft won fame
during the Vietnam War conflict as a hard hitting close air support

Grumman AB-A-6E Intruder (17.7MB).
The Navy's experience in the Korean War showed the need for a new long-range strike aircraft with high subsonic performance at tree-top height, to permit under-the-radar penetration of enemy defenses, and to be capable of finding and hitting small targets in any weather. The outcome was the Grumman A-6 "Intruder". The A-6's
twin-engine design increases reliability and delivered superior performance to other single-engine designs. Representation of the aircraft flown in the movie "Flight Of The Intruder".

CFS2 Grumman AB-F8F-2
Supercat (7.40MB).
In 1956 Grumman experimented with the last 26 Bearcats off the
production line. These special Bearcats, called "SuperCats", received
major modifications to the R-2800-30W engine that increased the
horsepower from 2,250hp to over 4,500hp. Of these 26 aircraft
only three survived. This aircraft was rumored to have been clocked at
over 615 mph by Navy test pilots in 1956 over the Nevada test
range.

 CFS2
Ilyushin AB-IL-28 Beagle (9.79MB).
The Ilyushin Il-28 is a jet bomber aircraft that was originally manufactured for the Soviet Air Force and was the USSR's first such aircraft to enter large-scale production. The aircraft is conventional in layout, with high,
un-swept wings carrying large engine nacelles beneath them. The bombardier is accommodated in the glazed nose, and the other end of the fuselage carries a turret with two 23mm cannons. These features make it resemble the World War II medium bombers that preceded it.

Spectre (9.85MB).The AC-130H Spectre gunship's primary missions are close air support, air
interdiction and armed reconnaissance. Other missions include perimeter
and point defense, escort, landing, drop and extraction zone support,
forward air control, limited command and control, and combat search and
rescue. These heavily armed aircraft incorporate side-firing weapons
integrated with sophisticated sensor, navigation and fire control systems

CFS2 Lockheed AB-F-104A
Starfighter (2.79MB).The F-104 Starfighter is a high-performance day and night
fighter powered
by an axial-flow, turbojet engine with afterburner. The "A"
models are designed for cruise at high subsonic speeds and combat at high
supersonic speeds. Notable features of the aircraft include extremely thin
flight surfaces, short straight wings with negative dihedral, irreversible
hydraulically powered ailerons, and a controllable horizontal stabilizer.

CFS2 McDonnell
Douglas AB-A-4E Skyhawk (7.03MB).
Designed as the
jet-age successor to the AD-1 Skyraider, the A-4 Skyhawk was a nimble
single-seat that made its reputation as the primary attack and ground
support aircraft of the Vietnam Conflict for the U.S. Navy and Marine
Corps. Operating both from carriers at Yankee Station in the Gulf of
Tonkin and from airfields in South Vietnam, the Skyhawk earned the
nickname "the Scooter" for its responsiveness in battle. Complete
re-work of the AB-A-4E Skyhawk due to issues with the model (.mdl) file
that may cause CFS2 to crash to the desktop when attempting to fly the
aircraft in multiplayer online games. Includes new panel, new sound
files, new textures and a working tail hook.

G (5.64MB).Meant as a point defense fighter, the MiG-23 offered a powerful radar, an infrared search and track system, a selection of radar and infrared guided weapons and tremendous speed (Mach 2.35) to counter its adversaries. The MiG-23 was designed in 1964-66 as a successor to the MiG-21. In addition to a much more powerful engine, the MiG-23's most significant new feature was its variable sweep wing. The Su-7 saw combat with Egypt in the Six Day War in 1967, the War of Attrition, and conflicts between India and Pakistan. A-4 Skyhawk, the A-7 was developed as a subsonic attack version of the F-8

tail. This arrangement not only offers the benefits of the canard, The

Douglas AB-AV-8B "Harrier II"/USMC (7.43MB).Harrier II: The primary mission of the AV-8B Harrier II is to
provide close air support to ground forces. Secondary missions include
short range interdiction, fighter escort, deck launched intercept, and
combat air patrol. The Harrier II was the first Marine Corps tactical
strike platform to arrive in theater during Operation Desert Storm in
1991. USMC: This is an early AV-8B Harrier II (Night Attack) flown
by the US Marines circa, 1983-1989. The Harrier's at that time were flown
primarily at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina and MCAS Yuma, Arizona.
Originally manufactured by the McDonnell/Douglas "Cold War
Machine" under license from the original developer Hawker/Siddeley,
the US Harrier variant's are manufactured by Boeing. The paint is the

The two-seat MiG-31 was foreseen as a high-speed interceptor to counter the threat of supersonic aircraft and cruise missiles flying at low-level. CFS2 Mikoyan AB-MiG-35 (6.36MB).The MiG-35 is an enlarged and more advanced development of the
MiG-29/MiG-33 family seen as a potential replacement for the MiG-29 and
Su-27, with larger wings, canards, and upgraded cockpit, and thrust
vectoring. The engines have been moved backwards to make more room for
fuel in the fuselage. The primary mission of the MiG-35 is the aerial
superiority, and in fact Mikoyan claims the new fighter would be able to
outperform the F-22 Raptor, the most advanced US air-superiority fighter.
The MiG-35 is often confused with the Multifunctional Fighter (MFI), also
known as the MiG-1.42, but it now appears that these are two separate
projects.

The Sukhoi Su-25 is a single-seat, twin-engine jet aircraft designed to provide close air support. During its more than twenty-five years in service, the Su-25 has seen combat with several air forces. It was heavily involved in the Soviet war in Afghanistan, flying counter-insurgency missions against the Mujahideen. The Iraqi Air Force employed Su-25s against Iran during the 1980–89 Iran-Iraq War. Sukhoi AB-SU-34 Fullback (7.28MB)The Sukhoi SU-34 Fullback is an advanced Russian two-seat fighter-bomber and strike aircraft. It is intended to eventually replace the Sukhoi Su-24. The aircraft shares most of its wing structure, tail, and engine nacelles with the Su-27/Su-30 'Flanker', with canards to increase static instability (higher
maneuverability) and to reduce trim drag. The aircraft has an entirely new nose and forward fuselage with a cockpit providing side-by-side seating for a crew of two.

Sukhoi AB-Su-35 Flanker-E (6.73MB).The Sukhoi Su-35 (NATO designation: Flanker-E) is an advanced fighter aircraft flown by the Russian Air Force. Based on the Su-27, it was originally identified as the Su-27M. It was developed to counter the U.S. F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon. Changes from the Su-27 were canards, a larger nose, the greater use of carbon
fiber and aluminum-lithium alloy in the airframe, and larger, squarer tail fins.

CFS2 Sukhoi AB-Su-47 Berkut
(7.49MB).Originally known as the S-37, Sukhoi re-designated its advanced test
aircraft as the Su-47 in 2002, reflecting the decision to market the
design as a production fighter rather than as an experimental prototype.
Also commonly referred to as the Berkut (Golden Eagle), the Su-47 was
originally built as Russia's principle test bed for composite materials
and sophisticated fly-by-wire control systems. It also makes use of
forward-swept wings allowing superb maneuverability and angles of attack

Tupolev AB-TU-22M-3 Backfire C (9.71MB).The "Backfire" is a long range aircraft capable of performing

Its low-level penetration features make it a much more survivable system

CFS2 Yakovlev AB-Yak-38 Forger A
(5.48MB).The Yakovlev Yak-38 was Soviet Union's first and only operational VTOL multi-role combat aircraft. It first flew on January 15, 1971, and entered service with the Soviet Naval Aviation on August
11th, 1976. A total of 143 Yak-38's were produced. One interesting feature of the Yak-38 was hands-free landing. The aircraft could negotiate a telemetry/tele-command link with a computer system in the aircraft carrier which would allow it to be guided onto the deck with no interaction from the pilot. light attack helicopter. The OH-58 Kiowa has been in continuous use by
the United States Army since its introduction in 1968. The latest model,
the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, is primarily operated in an armed

CFS2 Kaman AB-HH-43B Huskie
(2.92MB). The first helicopter purchased by the Air Force specifically for airborne fire-fighting and air base crash rescue. The twin intermeshing, counter-rotating rotors made the Huskie very stable in flight, and in fact, the downwash actually helped suppress fires.
