IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
THAT YOU DOWNLOAD FILES FROM THIS WEB SITE AND SAVE IT TO A TEMPORARY

DIRECTORY. OPENING THE FILE AND RUNNING IT FROM THE INTERNET IS
NOT ADVISED, AS THE FILE CAN BE DAMAGED OR CORRUPTED DURING THE
DOWNLOAD/RUN PROCESS.

NOTE: The installation program used
here assumes that Microsoft© Combat Flight Simulator 2 is
located in the following directory:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Games\Combat Flight Simulator 2
If it is not located in this directory, extract the files
to a temporary directory, and then move the files to the Aircraft
sub-folder in the correct CFS2 directory on your hard drive. The other
files are in "zip" format.
The BIGGEST difference that you will find between this Web
site and others that offer downloads for the various flight simulations is
that whenever possible I have attempted to create an
"installation" program for the downloads...No more having to
create folders, and then copying and/or moving files. The installation
program does all of this for you AUTOMATICALLY. So, where possible, all
you have to do is to simply double-click on the installation program and
enjoy! I strongly encourage you to visit the Installation
Page to see how this program works before downloading any of the
wonderful add-ons from this site.

ABOUT THESE AIRCRAFT
Downloads from this
page are for Microsoft© Combat Flight Simulator 2 ONLY,
and should not be used in CFS1, as we have versions of the
aircraft for CFS1 as well. The aircraft found on this page have been
designed by members of ABSquad. These aircraft are not "mods",
but are true "add-ons". Much time and effort has gone in to the
creation, design, and testing of each and every one of the planes found
here on this page. We have and always will strive for "historical
accuracy" in the planes we design. Specifications for the aircraft in
most cases come directly from the manufacturer, or sites on the Internet
that are dedicated to these planes. Their flight characteristics,
handling, speed, armament, and look are as close to the real thing as
Combat Flight Simulator 2 will allow (at least we think so...). They are
not 100% accurate because of those limitations --- but we feel that they
are closer than anything else that is currently available. Download
them...fly them...then decide for yourself...

BRITISH
AIRCRAFT
CFS2 de Havilland
AB-Mosquito B Mk XVI (25MB).
Mosquitos were widely used by the RAF Pathfinder Force which marked
targets for night-time strategic bombing, and ended the war with the
lowest losses of any aircraft in RAF Bomber Command service. And in
terms of useful damage done, the Mosquito had proved 4.95 times cheaper
than the Lancaster. Special Luftwaffe units were formed to combat the
Mosquito attacks, though they were rather unsuccessful and the Luftwaffe
considered the Mosquito a superior implementation of their own
"Schnellbomber" concept. Includes new textures, sound files, panel
and flight characteristics. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.
NOTE:
You MUST install the new version of
the CFS2 Ultimate
Weapons Pack in order to be able to use the new "enhanced"
weapons, as it is not included with the aircraft in an attempt to keep the
file size down.

CFS2 de Havilland
AB-Mosquito FB.VI (3.43MB).
Known as the "Wooden Wonder", the Mosquito was originally
designed as an unarmed, high-speed bomber. The FB.VI version was armed
with 20mm cannons and .303 Browning machine guns. Bomb bay doors open by
using the spoiler key (either "D" or "/" depending on
your keyboard setup). By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Fairey AB-Barracuda Mk.V
(11.9MB).
The Fairey Barracuda was a British carrier-borne torpedo and dive-bomber
aircraft used during the World War II. The first of its type to be
fabricated entirely from metal, it was introduced to the Fleet Air Arm
as a replacement for the Fairey Swordfish and Fairey Albacore biplanes.
It is notable for its role in attacking the German battleship Tirpitz
and infamous for its unusual appearance when the undercarriage was
extended and wings folded. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Hawker AB-Hurricane Mk
IIB (8.19MB).
The Hurricane served with distinction during the Battle Of Britain. Slower
than the Spitfire and the Messerschmitt Me 109, it could easily out
maneuver any aircraft of the day, and was a better gun platform than the
Spitfire. The Mk IIB variant of the Hurricane, called the "Hurribomber",
carried an armament of eight or twelve 7.7mm machine guns. Due to
shortages of the guns, most carried eight machine guns. The Mk IIB entered
service in early 1941. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Hawker AB-Hurricane Mk
IIc (6.32MB).
The "official" ABSquad squad aircraft from CFS1...The Hurricane
served with distinction during the Battle Of Britain. Slower than the
Spitfire and the Messerschmitt Me 109, it could easily out maneuver any
aircraft of the day, and was a better gun platform than the Spitfire. So
much so that it is credited with HALF of the TOTAL kills recorded by the
RAF in the first year of World War II. It was also later discovered that
Hurricanes shot down more enemy aircraft than all other air defenses,
including the Spitfire and anti-aircraft guns, COMBINED. AD2000 was used
to "update" the overall look of the aircraft. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Hawker AB-Tempest Mk V
(5.46MB).
Considered by many to be the finest piston-engine aircraft ever developed
in World War II, the Hawker Tempest was the most technically advanced
allied piston engine fighter of World War II...Derived from the Hawker
Typhoon, its laminar wings gave him very high speed and exceptional
maneuverability at high speed. Improved flight dynamics and better fuel
consumption, and is included in the AB Sink The Bismarck mission. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Hawker AB-Tempest Mk Vb
(2.09MB). Considered
by many to be the finest piston-engine aircraft ever developed in World
War II, the Tempest was the most technically advanced allied piston engine
fighter of World War II...Derived from the Hawker Typhoon, its laminar
wings gave him very high speed and exceptional maneuverability at high
speed. The Mk Vb varied from the V in that is carried six Hispano Mk II
20mm cannons instead of the original four, was slightly shorter in length,
was slightly slower in speed but was also a little more agile. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Hawker AB-Typhoon Mk Vb
(2.09MB). The Typhoon was a British
single-seat fighter-bomber, and was intended to be a replacement for the
Hawker Hurricane in the interceptor role. The aircraft underwent a long
gestation period, eventually evolving into one of World War II's most
successful ground-attack aircraft. In RAF slang, the Typhoon was
nicknamed the "Tiffy". By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Supermarine
AB-Spiteful F Mk XIV (2.92MB).
Conceived as the successor to the Spitfire, the Spiteful F Mk XIV was
perhaps the ultimate development of the Spitfire design. Nicknamed "The
500mph Spitfire", it used a new laminar-flow wing matched
to a Spitfire Mk XIV fuselage with further refinements. First production
was flown on April 2, 1945, but the invent of the jet age ended the need
for the Spiteful. Only 19 were ever built and of these only 16 were flown
and saw combat. Improved flight dynamics, new sound files and damage
profile. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

CFS2 Supermarine
AB-Spitfire Mk IXV-E (1.34MB). The final version of the Spitfire, the
Mk IXV-E, outmatched the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in all aspects except for the
Fw 190's unrivalled rate of roll. It was a Mk XIV that became the first
Allied fighter to shoot down a Messerschmitt Me 262. Different armament
for the Spitfire, as she had two 20mm cannons and two .50 caliber
machine guns mounted on the wings. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.

Mk 47 (6.52MB).
Navalized version of the Supermarine Spiteful F Mk XIV, the Seafang Mk 47
also utilized the all-round vision cockpit canopy, four Hispano Mk II
.20mm cannons, laminar flow wings, and a new Rolls-Royce Griffon 69 contra
prop engine rated at 2,350hp. The Seafang also included a tail hook for
carriers operations. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.
Complete re-work of the original Seafang, including new textures, panel
and sound files. This one's for you, Col_Fubar!
